did ya miss me?

bet you thought i wasnt coming back.. well you thought wronggg
its been a while, i know
i've been a little busy, alright
graduating highschool & moving for university life & such
while ive been gone, things have been good.
stressful & full of CHANGE. but everyone needs a little change every once in a while, right?

im finally adjusting and getting used to life as it is now.. university is completely different than highschool, and dont get me wrong - i love the freedom.. but im starting to miss highschool, knowing everyone, and having a really good relationship with most of your teachers. (walker, saliba, smiley, hamilton - how i miss thee)

here, you're just a face in a crowded room of 300. you're just a 9-digit number. just another essay to mark. we have all this freedom, but we're not even recognized.. and i came to a small university..
i cant even imagine going to one even bigger than this - hey, i grew up in milton: what do you expect?
i went from knowing almost everyone by name, to knowing less than 10 people, in three months. talk about reality check?

my classes this semester are -
Cultural Anthropology: kill me now, prof has a polish accent & idgaf about this bs
Archaeology: prof is an adorable old guy, really loves his work.. but the material, DRY.
Political Science; the modern state: its interesting, but is it bad that i frequently use dictionary.com because i dont know what a lot of the words in this class mean?
Sociology: the lectures are brutal, but the reading is half dec, even entertaining at parts
AND FINALLY MY FAVOURITE
Problems in American History: my teacher is welsh (sp?) and he is so interesting to listen to.. sometimes i forget to take note of everything he says because its so fascinating i just want to listen so i dont miss anything.. we're learning about the salem witch trials right now, and i can honestly say i absolutely love this class! i know someone in it too, which is a bonus :)

im thinking of switching my major to history because thats what im REALLY interested in, but lets be real.. what kind of job can i get with a history major.. next to nothing right? i really have to think this one over.. life decisions, no biggie.. aren't they the best?

on a side note,
my mom let me borrow the car for a couple days this week :)
we're going gokarting for amanda, mike & my dad's bdays tomorrow night - should be a thrill!
and wednesday its my dad's bday so we're meeting up for lunch half way between us i believe! im excited, i actually really value my family time now that its limited..
thursday i have intramural basketball, should be interesting.. i really need to get into shape...
friday im thinking about going to london, hopefully my girl doesnt have to go for basketball because shes sufferring of sickness and pain!
saturday is homecoming at school... but i dont know if im going to go..
nothing to really go to besides the game if you're not 19+..
and sunday.. i guess ill do some work for once? lol my bad

i have a busy week ahead of me.. and lots of reading to catch up on.. woohoo.. not.
but at least i have things to do.. and wont be sitting on the couch watch 8+ hours of tv a day like the past few weeks.. lol thats what university life really is
eat, sleep, read, drink & watch endless amounts of tv. - i cant say its hard getting used to that part.

i just realised how long this post is.. holy hell!

guess who im beginning to skype on a regular basis?
probably the last person you would guess, but at the same time - most obvious because im this excited about it... call me pathetic, but im actually happy we're talking again.. theres been a lot of bullshit, but at the end of the day - i miss him.
